Each one of us carry many mission and visions all throughout our life, for instance we unquestionably accept the mission of a company that we work for, and are happy to partake in our full capacity or whatever it takes from ones end to contribute towards achieving it's vision, without a second though that we are pursuing someone else's dream or progress or whatever you may call it as.

Why then do we ignore our own health and wellness, the thing for which we toil for 9-6 or even more, failing to understand that what we are earning for is what we are not living for i.e. Living Healthy.

Why don't we take a moment and reflect:

- What is the mission of my life? Where am I lying in this mission? and how am I falling short in progressing towards this mission?

-What do I want to become - my vision of myself in life? what efforts at my end is required? How do I work towards achieving it?

- By when do I want to be, where I want to be?

My mission is to take care of the health a gift bestowed upon me as healthy newborn. The realization has been there since long, however today is the day I start my mission #healthy living.

If I am willing to work for someone else's mission and vision in return for a paycheck which goes towards refurbishing myself, might as well work towards ones own mission and vision of regaining the lost strength and vigor.

Discipline may sound Hitlerish, but it's a quintessential constituent for a healthy living. It takes time to build discipline in life, but once built it makes life easy.

There are other factors too contributing towards ones progress, let me touch upon those briefly through my Day 1 experience:

Motivation:

If you are truly looking, you will find motivation and company around you. Two of my society mates, an old friend and a new, joined me. Though their vision differed, they shared the my quest for a healthy living. My motivation was my company.

Overcoming the Challenge:

Day 1 challenge: Getting up and out of bed by 6 a.m.

I will admit getting out of bed at 6 was (even as a child) and will (even as an adult) be a challenge I will have to encounter each day going forward, but I am ready to face it.

Let me share with you the cheat sheet that helped me to be ready.

A learning from my childhood which I am sure sure you will correlate with too. Prior to any exam I used to have nightmares of me missing the bus and arriving at the exam hall with only half time available to answer the entire paper, me forgetting to carry my pen or stationary and no one lended me one, the threats and situations were innumerable.

In the current situation my friends became my nightmare whom I encountered the previous night, their taunt rang clear through my ears the entire night.

So when the alarm clock rang and my mind started to play its usual games, alluring me to sleep for 5 more minutes, I kicked myself out of the bed with this thought of facing my nightmares (friends) in flesh and blood, rather than dream about them while taking a tantalized nap. Trust me it helped!

Tracking Milestones:

Tracking status of ones own efforts is important.

Whether I achieved my goal set for today or as i would put it in my case, did I overcome the challenge that I had set for myself?

Tracking milestone through your efforts is an important aspect, a factor with futuristic relevance. Every achievement of the milestone makes you move closer to your vision. If you don't know where you started there will be nothing that you would be left to compare with once you reach to your end.

Look For Your Motivation & Pursue It, Achievement Will Follow.
